Products we use:
Mazuri Chinchilla Pellets - Made by Purina Mills. One of the best chinchilla pellet feeds made.
Kaytee Timothy Hay - Chins LOVE Timothy Hay. It is an excellent source of fiber and protein. Just grab a bushel and toss it in the cage. You will be loved and appreciated.
Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses - Every Chin Herd member LOVES these things. Since a chinchilla's teeth are constantly growing, they need hard items to help keep their teeth sharp and functional.
Blue Cloud Chinchilla Dust - Chinchillas "dust" themselves to maintain their cleanliness and soft fur. There are different varieties of dust and even some that are scented. However we have found that Blue Cloud gives us the highest satisfaction amongst the herd.
Edstrom Water Bottle - Chins love to chew. These bottles, combined with a metal shield, just make sense. They easily attach to the cage with a spring like chain. The metal shield will stop the chins from chewing on the plastic.
Hanging Chew Toys - Chins love to chew on pine (cedar is bad to chins). Hang some pine blocks on a chain with a bell on the bottom. Chin satisfaction is almost guaranteed.
Perches/Ledges - Chins love to jump around at different levels. A single story chin is not a happy chin. Simple pine blocks that screw into the sides of the cage. These are commonly called Leap-n-Legde or Sleep-n-Ledge.
Nutri-Cal - A high calorie supplement used for pregnant moms, young kits, and if your chin becomes ill. Chins will sometimes stop eating when they get sick. This helps to supplement their little bodies to help them back to their happy selves.
There are a lot more items that are used with Chinchillas. Chinworld.com is a good source of information related to all of those items.
